    MF Robots

MF Robots (Music For Robots) are to release their 4th soulful single ‘Show Me The Love’ out 1st December following the success of previous singles such as ‘Come On With The Good Thing’ and ‘The Night is Calling’. With this track the duo make a raucous return to their funky roots, showing yet another side of what they do best. The track is taken from their debut album out March 2018.

The forthcoming debut album from MF Robots will feature a collection of body-moving songs and plenty of funky pop hooks, created by dynamic duo Jan Kincaid and Dawn Joseph, who met while performing in legendary band Brand New Heavies. Kincaid was a founder member, drummer and main songwriter with the pioneering acid jazz band – responsible for some of the UK’s biggest R&B/soul/funk hits, scoring 16 top forty singles and over 2 million album sales – while Joseph joined later as a featured vocalist.

The creative spark between Kincaid and Joseph soon lead to the duo writing and creating music together that quickly took on a life and flavour of its own. A full body of work soon organically emerged and MF Robots was born in 2016.

MF Robots revamp and renew the classic production values and songwriting standards of the golden age to create timeless contemporary classics. Their music combines an eclectic plethora of musical styles including hard funk, electronic, acid jazz, smooth soul, and pop sensibilities to form their unique sound.

Their combined wealth of experience has given the duo a lot to draw on; Jan’s strong production and songwriting skills in genres including soul, funk, jazz, hip hop, rock, reggae, latin, pop and electronic, alongside Dawn’s extensive interest in music and fashion – designing her own stage clothes and performing as the go-to backing vocalist (and sometimes guitarist or bass player) for legendary artists including Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Michael Buble, Cee-Lo, Craig David and Rick Astley.

Kincaid comments on the MF Robots’ philosophy: “We live in a very impermanent and volatile world in 2017 and we want to provide a little escapism for the soul with exciting, energy and music that is both current and able to stand the test of time.”

‘Show Me The Love’ is out on 1st December

MF Robots debut album is out March 2018.
